kBeroFTPD is a KDE frontend for editing BeroFTPD's configuration files.
BeroFTPD is a free UNIX FTP server based on wu-ftpd.

New version of KOrganizer |

A new version of KOrganizer (0.9.14) has been released.
Perhaps the greatest change is that it doesn't need Latex anymore. You can

|
Alpha version of a new KDE spreadsheet has been made available.
KSiag is a port of the SIAG (Scheme in a grid) spreadsheet.

New Application: KooBase |
|
KooBase is a music/MIDI/score-editor for KDE. The author tries to
offer a graphical structure similar to the program CuBase (by Steinberg Research
for the Mac).
Apparently no code is available yet, but there are some impressive screenshots
here.

New Application: KSNIFF |
|
KSniff is a packet sniffer/analyzer developed for the KDE project which supports
plugins written in TCL.

Additions to the KOffice suite |
|
Two new members have joined the KOffice family in the last few days:
KWord, a WordPerfect-like word processor.
KFormula, a mathematic formula editor.
